Basic Veggie Fry Batter

Everyone needs a good to a batter!!!

Basic Veggie Fry Batter
*****I like to soak whatever vegetable I will be frying in buttermilk.  I will cover the cut veggies and put them in the fridge for 4-24 hours.*****
Ingredients
  • Buttermilk I sometimes will add hot sauce and other seasonings
  • Cornmeal
  • Cayenne
  • Garlic powder
  • Gunpowder it is a seasoning blend from our local market
  • Salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. The buttermilk is for soaking.

  2. Mix all dry ingredients and batter the vegetables of your choice.

  3. Fry the vegetables.
