Lamb Sloppy Joe

Sloppy joes are awesome! So hearty and amazing no matter if you are 5 or 95!



  • 1 lb cooked Lamb (use
  • 2 Bell peppers diced
  • 1 White Onion Diced
  • 2 ts Worcestershire
  • 2 ts Soy Sauce
  • 1 ts Dried Chopped Basil
  • 16oz Pureed Tomato
  • 6 Cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1ts Yellow Mustard
  • 1ts onion powder
  • 1ts Granulated Garlic
  • 1ts Chili Powder
  • 1ts Gun Powder Seasoning
  • 1ts Paprika
  • 1/2ts Oregano
  • 2tbsp Ketchup
  • 2tbsp your favorite BBQ Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  1. In butter Sautee the onion, bell peppers, and garlic. Salt and pepper. Cook until tender. 

  2. Add tomato puree, Worcestershire, soy sauce, basil, brown sugar, mustard, onion powder, granulated garlic, chili powder, gunpowder seasoning, paprika, oregano, ketchup, BBQ sauce, salt, and pepper. 

  3. Simmer for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Cook meat and add the sauce to the meat. This will allow you to control the consistency of the mix. 

  5. Toast buns if you want. Add cheese if you desire. We used Hawaiian mini sub rolls! SO GOOD!DSC_0562
