Fun Easter Jars

Easter decorations are so much fun to create. I have learned there are so many things that you can repurpose (like candle jars) to create fun festive holiday decorations.

For years I have purchased candles, used them, and then discarded the jars with not a second thought. Well, one day it just dawned on me… I can use these great glass jars (with lids) for so many things. The options are aplenty!

For every holiday I have slowly accumulated many decorations. A lot of time these were projects of mine much like the craft I am about to show you. This is such a simple but super cute idea. My daughters really enjoy putting these together!

EASTER JARS

Supplies:

  • Easter Grass (*Edible or regular)
  • Chocolate Bunnies
  • Plastic Decorative Eggs
  • Cleaned Candle Jars with Lids or Mason Jars
  • Small Gum or Chocolate Eggs (wrappers on if they are chocolate)

*Use edible grass only with edible decorations.

Directions:

  1. If the candle jars are not cleaned do so and allow to dry thoroughly. *If they still have wax in them then fill them with hot water and allow them to soak for a bit. The wax will then come out very easily.
  2. I fill each jar with a little Easter grass.

  3. I will then place my decorations into the jars on top of the grass. I usually place a bunny and a few of the smaller eggs into the jars. You will want the lid to close so be mindful of this when packing the jars.
  4. **For the jars with the decorative eggs I made sure to place a little Easter grass in between each egg just for depth. I always have to go back and play with the amount of grass so that the lid will close.
  5. Tie a bow around the top of the jar for an added aesthetic touch.

I have received so many compliments on these simple decorations throughout the years and I love being able to change it up every year. I figured I might as well share how easy they are to make.
