Peach Cobbler

Living in the south Peach Cobbler is something that almost everyone knows how to make and hardly any of them actually follow a recipe.

I will say that these no recipe cobblersΒ will be the best you will ever eat. I remember walking into my grandmother’s house and just being able to smell the sweet crust and fruit baking. This is a close replica of the flavors that I remember.

Peach Cobbler

This is a great easy homemade cobbler! You could even use a different fruit!

Ingredients
  • *8-10 fresh peaches peeled I have a super easy method for this! Just drop each peach into boiling water for about 3 minutes. You can let them cool or run them under cold water. The skin will just peel off.
  • *1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • *1/2 cup brown sugar
  • *Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • *About 3 TBSP Flour
  • *dash of Cinnamon
Crust Batter:
  • *1 Stick Butter 1/2 cup
  • *2/3 Cup Milk
  • *1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • *1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • *1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • *1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions
  1. Slice peeled peaches and place in large mixing bowl.
  2. Add both sugars to the peaches and stir.
  3. Add Lemon juice and stir.
  4. Add flour and dash of cinnamon
  5. *Set this bowl to the side and preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
**Put the butter in a baking/pie dish and melt in the oven. When butter is melted pull out and pour batter into the pan. Do not stir just leave it alone**
  1. Mix flour, sugar, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla in a bowl. Pour into hot baking dish over the butter.
  2. Pour peach mixture over the batter and place in the oven.
  3. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes. I just keep an eye on it until it looks golden. Sometimes it takes longer than 20 minutes.
I sometimes sprinkle about 1 tbsp of sugar over the top before baking. I did it for this one

As long as the peaches are ripe this Peach Cobbler will turn out right!
