Oven Baked Ribs

When I think Barbecue, ribs come to mind immediately. Josh is our grill/smoker master so I came up with this fun oven friendly recipe!

The aroma of slow cooked BBQ will waft about your home when you try this recipe for oven baked ribs!

Oven Baked Ribs

These oven baked ribs turn out amazing everytime! 

Ingredients
  • 2 Racks of Baby Back Ribs
  • Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • Apple Cider
  • Rub
Rub
Equal parts of each:
  • Ground Mustard
  • Chili Powder
  • Paprika
  • Granulated Garlic
  • Brown Sugar
  • Cajun Blend
Half parts of:
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • *I also use a seasoning blend from my local market called Gun Powder seasoning. It has the flavor of a really good grilled steak.
**I usually Measure by the tbsp**
Instructions
  1. Preheat Oven to your desired temp.
  2. Take the membrane off of the ribs.

  3. Place ribs on a large piece of aluminum foil. You will need enough to wrap each rack completely, loosely, and separately.

  4. Coat ribs on both sides with the rub seasoning.
  5. Add a few dashes of soy sauce over each rack.

  6. Add about 1/4-1/2 cup cider to each foil packet.
  7. Wrap and place on baking pan. Put the pan in preheated oven.

If you are slow baking these you will check them after 2 hours and will usually let them go for 2 more hours. (if you cook them at 350 degrees Fahrenheit then they are usually done in 2 hours)
  1. You will then unwrap them and add BBQ sauce if you want.

  2. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes unwrapped at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  3. Let rest, cut, serve, and ENJOY!

Recipe Notes

*Bake these at 285 degrees Fahrenheit for them to slowly cook.

**Bake these at 350 degrees Fahrenheit
